On to the positive, Venice is everything you read in the books, see on the t.v. and imagine from the stories told. Rich with history, architecture, street vendors, gondolas and water. Lots and lots of water. Oh, and guys selling fake purses on the corners. Frada, Lewis Vuitton, Roach, Bendi, you name it, they sell it. The bad? EXPENSIVE! If your pockets are thin, they will be emaciated by the time you leave Venice. Overall? A must see. Hope yall enjoy the pics. Back to class.

Malcontenta ≠ Venice
In at 4:30 a.m. Up at 6:00 a.m. A quick shower, throw on half of my business suit, then race downstairs for one last breakfast at the Raabheim. Inhale breakfast by opting not to chew, just so that I can get a good seat on the bus for the 8 hour haul to Venice. Then the brakes screech. Not the bus brakes, the timeline brakes. Apparently, 42 law students = 100 + pieces of luggage. Oops. So after 30 minutes of playing luggage Jenga and stuffing luggage into the bus bathroom, we finally get moving. Oh yeah, 8 hour bus ride with no bathroom....FUN! Not gonna bore with the details of the bus ride, but I will tell you this; driving through the Alps to get to Italy is absolutely breath-taking! Fast forward. We pull up an hour and a half late with the guest lecturer waiting on us. Boy was he happy. 45 minutes later (yes, all that travel for a 45 minute lecture) we were free to see Venice. The only problem is that we DEFINITELY weren't in Venice. Enter Malcontena, Italy. Literal translation, "dissatisfied Italy". That was definitely the consensus. Why? Glad you asked. If not for the smell of ripe sewage and the dirty hookers on the street, Malcontenta would have been okay. But then again, there's the issue of the hotel. Matter of fact, let's not rehash the memories.
